The shop also sells ice cream, milkshakes, chocolate fondues, mousse, cheesecakes, coffees, wine, and more. Inside the 2,237-square-foot space, smooth jazz music fills the air along with the aroma of savory treats. While the eclectic menu options take center stage— the shop offers 150 varieties of Belgian chocolate, cakes, ice cream, coffee, wine, and more — the interior’s elegant dècor is also likely to catch the eye. Walls and ceilings, even in the restrooms, are adorned with artwork fit for a museum.

The European AJ Chocolate House locations have been growing since the first opened in 2002. The whole project started in Edwin Jablonkas’ father’s basement when he was in his teens. This happens, pretty literally, as soon as you stick the spoon of chocolate in your face. Leather armchairs and plush velvet couches placed around tables invite guests to stay a while with friends, coworkers, or loved ones. A perfect setting for a casual night out or a romantic date. As we continue this wonderful journey of the past twenty years of bringing joy to people through chocolate, we are excited to bring our European legacy to the United States.

For me, it’s dark chocolate all the way, and whether you’re dunking the warm waffle, a delicate raspberry, or (come on, you know you’re going to try it) your spoon, the sweet, silky spackle is so, so satisfying.

Here, the scene cuts to my first visit, wherein my companion — a white chocolate fan — notes a white option on the hot chocolate menu and feels his pupils dilate. It’s something neither of us had ever seen, so we ordered it. It showed up in the espresso cup with a tiny spoon.
The ambiance is very cozy and comfortable with an upscale feel, and it is beautifully decorated. This place feels like a great spot for a date night. I look forward to bringing my boyfriend the next time we are in town together!

It’s a gorgeous gift to bring to a New Year’s Eve or Day soiree. Yet, we knew that we wanted to bring the best luxury chocolates for all to enjoy. Therefore we chose to use the best quality chocolate there is – Belgian Couverture Chocolate. In addition to using the best quality Belgian chocolate, we never sacrificed the quality of all our ingredients and craftsmanship, continuing to create delicate chocolates, cakes, and desserts.
Everybody, from the manager to the waitstaff, was so kind, helpful, and welcoming.
“The other day, I came in to open, and there was a line waiting outside,” he marvels. “The Belgian Mousse Cake and Pistachio Cake sell out almost immediately when they come in. Customers can call in and reserve cakes if they like, which now through the end of the year are $69.95, which is $10 off the usual price. And all, he tells me, are either his or his father’s recipe except one, which is his grandmother’s. They ultimately decided on downtown Winter Park, which is lined with upscale boutiques and fine-dining restaurants. To them, this was the perfect fit for their high-end dessert concept.
